The COMPASS-W project is picking up speed! Following the kick-off workshop in October, the next phase is now beginning: the preparation of a comprehensive survey of around 30,000 employees in Germany. This survey is a central component in order to be able to evaluate equal work and work of equal value in a scientifically sound and non-discriminatory manner.
The kick-off workshops brought together the partners involved to set the course for successful project implementation. The focus was on the objectives of COMPASS-W, the technical implementation of the web application and the scientific background.
In the next step, we are preparing a large-scale representative survey of working people in Germany. This survey will provide valuable data for the development of the Index for Equivalent Work (IngA in German), which can be used to evaluate jobs without discrimination. IngA forms the basis for the development of a web application that is both scientifically sound, practical and easy to use.
The COMPASS-W project is therefore a key component in promoting equal pay and equal opportunities in the world of work and supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in particular in the non-discriminatory assessment of activities.

We will keep you up to date on the progress of the survey and further project milestones.
